Photo glut.

There seems to be a really huge number of photos that I need to post right now. I don't really know how this happened, but it's a great problem to have! I am going to give myself a birthday present and post some of the recent photos from my son's wedding to his lovely bride, Hailey. The wedding was back in March, but we are starting to see the finished photography just now, so I will share a few that I particularly like. The photographers did a great job of capturing the mood of the day - there are hundreds of photos, and I can only share a few, but I will share some that I like because of the fact that they are so candid and unposed looking.

Hailey and DJ have been married for a few months now, and those smiles have not faded from their faces! It makes me very happy to know that they are together and are doing so well. Each of them have recently gotten promotions, she with Marc Jacobs line in Fossil watches, and he at TM Advertising. He received a senior level position, and is now going to be working on the American Airlines account. They are living in a lovely apartment in Addison. These photos were taken just before the wedding ceremony. Both of them were surprisingly relaxed and didn't seem to be at all nervous. Just wanted to get married!

The photos above here are: 1) of my dear sweet mom, DJ's granny. She is 72 years old and I can only hope to look as good when I get that age. She is really a beautiful lady. 2) of me yapping at Andi just before walking down the aisle with DJ. He escorted me to my seat before marrying Hailey, and I will never forget that moment. I was thinking how fast his first 25 years went by. I got a sweet card from him tonight at my birthday dinner, and it made me think how special my three kids are and how lucky I am to be adding new ones to the fold. Hailey is a sweetheart, and I am so glad she is now a Harman girl.

Speaking of my birthday, it was so very nice. I got so many good wishes on Facebook and via emails, not to mention some very thoughtful gifts from some of my students too. I just feel very blessed. I have photos from my birthday dinner, and I will post those tomorrow. I don't want these posts to become too tedious to read, but every once in awhile, my personal life is going to creep into the mix. This is one of those times.

I am looking forward to the trip to the new CCE on Thursday. This forecast is for rain though, so I hope that everyone will bring umbrellas! Our photo scavenger hunt may not be as much fun if it is pouring, but we will make it work. Rain can produce some interesting opportunities for photography. We will do the best we can! (Chins up, everyone!) The bear will return later in the week. I'm saving some more good shots for later.
