Seniors are headed for outstanding things!

100% of all CCE Graphic Design and Illustration seniors this semester are college bound: Out of 43 seniors who attended CCE this year, 13 plan to attend a local community college first, and the other 30 are going directly to university programs or design colleges. Collin College is the first most attended community college, and Northlake is second. The highest attended university is the University of North Texas, and others include Texas Christian University, Texas State University, University of Texas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Florida State, Stephen F. Austin, and Texas State Technical College. Most of these students received academic or artistic scholarships.

Some major accolades for our seniors this year:
Kade O'Casey-accepted to multiple major art schools: Maryland Institute College of Art, Savannah College of Art and Design, Ringling College of Art and Design. Total scholarships offered by all schools: over $136,000 Kade was named most artistic senior at TCHS, he was also the recipient of the Scholastic Gold Key award for work completed in digital illustration.
Sophie Cangelosi-accepted to multiple major art schools: Maryland Institute College of Art, School of Visual Arts in NYC, Maine College of Art and Design, Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Total scholarships offered by all schools: over $112,000 Sophie was also the recipient of the Scholastic Gold Key award for work completed in digital illustration.
Miekala Cangelosi-accepted to multiple major art schools: Maryland Institute College of Art, California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), Maine College of Art and Design. Total scholarships offered by all schools: over $96,000 Miekala was also the recipient of the Scholastic Honorable Mention for three pieces completed in graphic design.
Erin Hotchkiss-accepted to MICA with a $26,000 Presidential Scholarship to attend next school year, possible renewal with high GPA - this would total $104,000 if claimed all four years at MICA.
Lauren Hawkins-accepted to TCU Honors College of Business with double major in Graphic Design and Entrepreneurship. Lauren has close to a full scholarship to TCU. Lauren was interviewed by Yale University and placed on a waitlist, but she has decided to accept her offer from TCU.
Vanessa White-accepted to Savannah College of Art and Design, Pratt Institute in NY, and UNT. She was offered scholarships by Pratt and SCAD totaling approx. $118,000 for all four years. Vanessa was also the recipient of the Scholastic Silver Key award for work completed in digital illustration. She also received recognition at the state level of the Visual Arts Scholastic Education (VASE) awards this year for a portrait that she did.
KK Lalani-KK was accepted to Savannah College of Art and Design (Atlanta campus) to study advertising. She will be eligible for both academic and artistic scholarships totaling over $60,000.
Sidney Higgins: was accepted to Kansas City Art Institute. She will be eligible for artistic scholarships totaling over $70,000.
Recent Graduates:
Zach Nienhuser - accepted to Ringling College of Art and Design, scholarship of approximately $7000/year
Halie Adams - accepted to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) with scholarship

We could simply not be prouder of a group of students than we are of this year's large group of graduating seniors. They have laid out a very good example for our underclassmen to aspire to. Thanks for being great, guys.
