It's been awhile! Wedded son, and perfect home!
I didn't intend for so much time to pass between posts, but lots has been going on during this particular "spring break". As soon as school was out on the 12th of March, we went after it very hard to finish our remodeling and getting ready for a house full of wedding guests. It was in the nick of time that we finished, but the MOST important thing is that there is a new Mrs. Harman in the world now!
Hailey and DJ got married on the 19th, and I can easily say that it was the most wonderful event of my recent life. They love each other so much, and it was wonderful to finally see their day arrive. So many people were at the wedding, and it was really a fabulous one. The Piazza in the Village was a perfect venue for a wedding of that size and stature, and it was absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait for the photos to come back from the photographer. There were two of them, and they took over 5000 pictures. Ka-ching! They will be banking on the sales of their work that day. They were there from 4:30 pm until after midnight.
It was such a long day, I'm sure that now that the happy newlyweds are out in Nassau in the Bahamas on their beach honeymoon for a week that they are very relaxed and relieved! I will post more photos of the wedding later, but just a few for now. The ones I took were through teary eyes (tears of happiness!) so I didn't do my best work. I can't work and be the mother of the groom at the same time, it isn't possible to concentrate on photography when you are a member of the wedding party. All I kept thinking about what a great son I have in DJ and what a neat new daughter I am getting in Hailey, and it makes me think I am one of the luckiest moms in the world. I can't wait to see what life holds in store for those two together.
Andi, my usual dependable photojournalist was a bridesmaid, so I don't think her camera came out one time! Her boyfriend, Ryan, is a photographer and was there taking pictures but I haven't had a chance to see them yet. I hope to see them at some point, but I have a select few to post today and I will post more later when I have had a chance to go through them all a little more thoroughly.
Anyway, it was a blessed wonderful event and we are all very happy to say it is a "done deal!" Hailey Harman has joined the family, and I can't believe that the day that we anticipated for so long and looked forward to for years has finally come and gone. Thanks for those kind words that many have had and inquiries about the success of the day. It was wonderful!
