I promised a look at Conner's logo designs, and as promised... the unveiling. Above is the logo that he designed for the new Career Center East, and below... the new logo for the Dale Jackson Career Center. We are proud of the new slogans as well, "A new direction in Career & Technology" for CCE, and "Paving the Way" for DJCC. The next thing that must be said is a sincere congratulations to the five students who were selected to progress from local competition to District 4 in advertising design skills. The students whose work will be featured later in another entry are: Ryan Brownhill, David Venable, Adam Williams, Amber Jackson and Amy Hillberry. All of these students are from Marcus HS except for Adam Williams, who is from Hebron HS. Good job and good luck as you go on. Competition time is always a little bit stressful as we all prepare projects and process books and get ready for outside critique. There is something validating about it and still, so...

Web information about class and student project on YouTube.

Check out this video that a group of my students did in class just before the semester ended for their final project. They were told to create a video to help promote lifelong healthy eating habits, and they created a time lapse of a house being created from vegetables. See it on YouTube... http://youtube.com/watch?v=y8JifRlyc5M&feature=youtube_gdata Good job guys! Also, in case you don't know, there is a web presence run by the students of graphic design and illustration, and it can be found on Facebook. The group is called "addesign" and the link to the page is here: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=50083112343 There is a site that will be used to house tutorials and other less frequently updated material, and that is http://www.deniseharman.com Don't forget to check the daily update for current students on Schoolnotes at this address: http://new.schoolnotes.com/xpages/view/51774/1 or search for teacher Denise Harman using 75067 as the class password.
